The Luxurious Spa Montage Beverly Hills
by Michele Elyzabeth
Spa Montage Beverly Hills has been described as a luxurious modern oasis nestled in the heart of Beverly Hills. Frankly, it’s all that and more. Though I live in LA and I am a fan of all spas, I had not had the opportunity to visit this one. I recently made it a point to book an appointment for an anti-aging facial that seemed perfect for me.
Located on the third floor of the Montage Beverly Hills, Spa Montage is the largest spa in California, boasting 20,000 square feet devoted to pure wellness. As you exit the elevator, you enter through the Spa Boutique which offers luxurious beauty products: niche organic products, unique gifts, as well as workout gear and casual wear; making it impossible not to find something to buy. As I made my way to the reception, I was greeted by a hostess who escorted me to my technician and gave me a tour of the facility which included Turkish steam rooms, dry redwood saunas, whirlpools, restful lounges, and a mineralized wellness pool centered in the atrium. The architecture is inspired by the traditional Spanish Colonial Revival style which is prevalent in Beverly Hills. It is clear that whether you are seeking relaxation or treatment, Spa Montage offers the best of both worlds. The menu of services is quite extensive, from lavish facials, body therapies and massage therapies to nail therapies; you can spend half a day or the full day being pampered.
I chose the Lifestage Anti-Aging Facial, a unique solution to anti-aging via Natural Encapsulation Technology which penetrates specific actives into the dermis. The advanced facial targets visible signs of aging. It smooths fine lines and wrinkles, while reducing unwanted pigmentation, stimulating the skin’s elasticity and reducing redness, leaving the skin more youthful.
I thoroughly enjoyed the experience which included cleansing, a therapeutic massage of the face and decolté, extraction, and a hard mask. I also had a hand and foot massage, followed by an intensive serum, and to finish, a protective cream.
My aesthetician used Kerstin Florian products, a luxury skincare line that focuses on results. Kerstin, who was born in Scandinavia, has been inspired by nature. For over 30 years, she and Charlene Florian have researched cultures and botanical resources all over the world to bring natural healing methods and wellness to their clients. They both have created holistic spa products and treatments with authenticity and quality using the best natural ingredients including phyto essences, essential oils, minerals, herbal extracts, algae, marine elements and wild-crafted mud. I have to admit that I did not know the line, but it certainly agreed with my skin.
It was a wonderful time spent in the most serene sanctuary.
