Beauty By The Masters
featuring the winners of The Hollywood Beauty Awards
by Michele Elyzabeth
LATF created the first Hollywood Beauty Awards to salute the
artists who create the looks of our favorite celebrities.
Let’s face it, without hair and makeup it would be a very
different story and it may not be a pretty picture in some
cases.
LATF wanted to share with you the magic that our winners in
the categories of hair, makeup and photography are capable
of producing.
We set up a photo session with photographer and winner of
the first Hollywood Beauty Awards, Emmanuelle Choussy, to
shoot two makeovers.
Team 1: Hairstylist Marcia Hamilton and makeup artist Autumn
Moultrie worked on our model Tessa.
Team 2: Hairstylist Lea Journo and Dior’s makeup artist Thuy
Pham transformed actress and host of VH-1’s “Dating Naked,”
Amy Paffrath.
Each team had three hours to complete the task, and here are
the results.
Lea used Lea Journo hair products to create the tight locks.
She wrapped the hair around a wooden kitchen spoon and her
flat iron. To obtain big hair, she used Lea Journo’s
Brilliant Sea Silk Mousse: a volumizing foam that adds
luxurious body and shine to your curls. She finished with
‘Voilà’ Finishing Spray, a medium-hold hair
spray that adds brilliance and shine while providing
flexible hold.
As for Thuy, she naturally chose Dior makeup from the new
shades of their Spring collection and added single eye
lashes.
Tessa came with shoulder length hair. Marcia decided that
she would add length to it. After a Brazilian Blow out,
which she whipped in no time with her little Harry Josh 2000
and her Ibiza round brush, she added extensions that snapped
onto Tessa’s hair. Autumn, decided on Anastasia Brows, and
Tom Ford and Kevyn Aucoin for makeup.
See for yourselves.
